What People Are Saying

I just wanted to tell you how incredibly positive your session was this year for the students. .. Students talked about how poor their prior mapping was and how life changing your session was for them.

In playing the violin, I am always interested in finding the position of greatest physical freedom. The human body is beautifully designed to play the fiddle – it is simply a matter of understanding and utilizing the natural aptitude for movement we are born with instead of fighting our nature by over analyzing our motions from an intellectual perspective. Freedom of motion gives us the possibility to focus on expression and communicating our desired musical message to others, which, after all, is what being a musician is all about!

When I began taking lessons with Michele, I couldn’t believe the sound I was producing with little physical effort.  It was free, deep and sonorous.  She teaches a holistic approach to playing and it works!!  Using the body the way it is meant to be used produces a beautiful sound with no physical suffering and a lot more enjoyment.  Michele is a wonderful teacher and all musicians of any age and any level would benefit greatly from her knowledge.  It will change your performing and how you think of playing.

It is very uplifting to rediscover my love of playing the piano, especially in a way that causes no pain. I could not be more grateful!  Darlene Schmidt, Piano Teacher
